Who is invited?

All college and high school students interested in medical school are welcome! 

 

What is it?

The Pre-Med Workshop is a fun-filled and informative day at the LSU Health Shreveport Medical School, hosted by current medical students.

 

The day will include:

Meeting with members of the School of Medicine Admissions Committee

Guided Tour of LSU Health Shreveport

Hands-On Clinics in Suturing, History-Taking, and Intubation

Q&A Panel and Lunch with Medical Students (Lunch is provided)

When is it?

November 2, 2019 from 10am-3pm for College Students

November 3, 2019 from 10am-2pm for High School Students

 

Where to Register and Pay:

You can register and pay through PayPal via the form to the left. The registration fee is $100 until 6 days before the event, when it will increase to $125.

Your registration fee covers:

All workshop supplies 

An info packet full of tips & useful information to help you get into medical school

Breakfast & Lunch 

Free Parking

Business casual attire is recommended. 

Where does my money go? 

Your registration fee is used to help current medical students attend our annual trips to Kenya & Haiti to serve patients who do not have regular access to healthcare! Once workshop costs are covered, the rest of the money will go to medications, equipment, and other expenses associated with these medical mission trips.
